The following quartets can be hired along with the Red Soul Brigade for an event, and are suitable for reception or dinner music.
Clare who plays altosax in the RSB also runs a baroque quartet that features harpsicord and cello playing basso continuo accompanying two alto recorders. They specialise in baroque chamber music by composers such as Handel, Teleman, Quantz, Bach and Sammartini. This makes the perfect light accompaniment to dinner, a great alternative to a string quartet. At venues where harpsicord is unavailable we do have an electric piano to retain the authentic sound.
Hannah also runs a jazz quartet that are available for hire. The line up is usually piano, bass, and two horns, although this is flexible. The group play jazz standards such as those played by John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and Charlie Parker. The musicians in the quartet are experienced jazz players, with a high standard of musicianship. The quartet is flexible, and can provide soft background music, or can be more bold if required.
