Charlie started playing with the RSB in his second year whilst studying at Oxford, having played previously with the Oxford University Big Band. Charlie has toured to China and India with his sax. He started playing jazz at school, where he dabbled poorly with various instruments including the drums and piano, before deciding the tenor sax was the way forward, mainly because it definitely looked better on stage than a clarinet. He can now be found standing next Clare, dancing like a fool whilst wearing a ridiculous pair of sunglasses.
