Hannah has been setting up and running bands for 8 years. She started organising student-run concerts at school, and when she got to University she started a medium size jazz band which soon enough turned into the 30-piece big band it is today. She has produced 2 professional CDs, organised 3 international tours and managed and/or conducted over 200 gigs in her past 5 years in Oxford. Her managing skills also extend to theatre and festivals; She has successfully produced at the Oxford Playhouse, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Old Fire Station Theatre in Oxford, as well as Golowan and Mazey Day festivals in Cornwall. She has directed musical theatre, as well as organising and conducting pit quartets for various productions and currently runs a weekly-performing comedy troupe. In gigs Hannah plays the piano in the band, an instrument she has been playing on and off for 18 years. She also used to sing in Hertford College Chapel choir where she met Bayo, St Mary's Chapel Choir in Penzance, and currently sings with the Bradfield Concert Choir. Previously, she regularly played piano in the Patrick Afane jazz quintet at the Caveau des Oubliettes when she lived in Paris, and at jam sessions at the Acorn Theatre in Penzance. |
