Dan started the flute at seven and switched to the slightly cooler and sexier saxophone when he hit early puberty at eleven. Despite being new to the instrument, he did his first mighty solo two months later. Danny represented the UK at the Festival de l'Europe with his school jazz band when he was merely 12.
He has also lead a funk band for 5 years and subsequently toured the UK with a Blues Brothers band supporting Johnny Mars, one of the world's best blues harmonica players (he played with Bo Diddly!).
Danny does love his saxophone, but has fallen on it and broken it twice.
