A BIT MORE ABOUT THE BAND
Our normal line up includes 2 vocalists (male and female), 1 trumpet, 3 saxes, piano, bass, guitar and drums :-) We do backing vocals with the vocalist who isn't leading the song, and the tenor sax and bassist singing too.

We do 1, sometimes 2 gigs a month. They are a mixture of pub gigs (3-4 a year), weddings and parties (5-6 a year), and music festivals (1-2 a year). We also go into a recording studio once a year to record tracks. Nearly all gigs are London and Oxford based, with weddings being within 1-2 hours drive of London or Oxford.

The pub gigs don't make too much money and the cash goes into the band pot to pay for rehearsal space, studio time, admin costs.

The weddings and parties tend to be paid about £100per person plus a contribution towards travel costs.

We rehearse about 1/month, in Oxford or London.

None of us are in it for the money at all, but appreciate not having to contribute to any running and rehearsal costs, and we enjoy getting paid for the wedding/private gigs :-)

We all have day jobs and love being able to be in a semi-pro band, it's a release and never a chore. We're good mates and when we have to sit around between sound check and gig, or wait as the wedding runs late, we have a laugh and are positive.

We have about 15 originals written by us, which we play at pub gigs and festivals. We have about 30 covers which we play at weddings/private gigs.
